SUNLIGHT

Give Red Delosperma plenty of sunlight. A position receiving 6+ hours of direct sun is ideal for compact growth and good flowering.

WATERING

Water when the soil has dried out, then allow excess water to drain away. Once established, Delosperma can tolerate periods of dry weather.

Avoid frequent watering when the soil is already wet, as consistently soggy conditions can cause root problems.

SOIL

Excellent drainage is essential. Use a sandy, gritty or free-draining succulent mix. If planting into heavy Sydney clay soil, improve drainage before planting or consider growing it in a raised area or container.

FEEDING

Usually requires only light feeding. A small amount of suitable succulent or slow-release fertiliser during active growth is generally sufficient.

Avoid excessive fertilising, which can encourage soft, leafy growth.

POTS & CONTAINERS
